On behalf of the International Regulatory Peptide Society, the Summer Neuropeptide Conferences, the European Neuropeptide Club and the Groupe Français des Peptides et des Protéines, we would like to invite you to the RegPep2016 that will be held in Rouen (Normandy, France) from July 12th to 14th, 2016 to participate. An International Scientific Program Committee has evaluated the Symposium proposals that we have collected and has established an exciting program that will favor translational research. Sessions will thus address both basic and clinical issues. Participation of clinicians and private companies is encouraged. Coming to RegPep2016, you will be able to meet leading scientists working on biologically active peptides. www.regpep2016.fr
We are pleased to announce that the 6th International Meeting on Antimicrobial Peptides (IMAP) takes place immediately before the 34th European Peptide Symposium (34th EPS) / 8th International Peptide Symposium at Leipzig University. This provides the opportunity to extend your stay in Leipzig to attend both exciting events.
IMAP 2016 is held under the auspices of the Protein & Peptide Science Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry and organized by Peptide Conferences on behalf of Leipzig University. For more information visit the IMAP conference website.
The meeting, which takes place on 24 – 25 October 2016, will discuss exciting emerging themes enhancing our understanding of the self-assembly of peptides. Recent research into the control of peptides has allowed the creation of unique structures that have enhanced or targeted bioactivity. By controlling their self-assembly, their usage can be expanded into fields such as drug development, tissue engineering and combating antimicrobial resistance, and more can be learnt about their role in diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Diabetes, with potential therapeutic gains. The meeting will cover several classes of self-assembling peptide and related molecules including amyloid peptides, lipopeptides and coiled coil peptides.
